The fruit and vegetable fast is a therapeutic nutrition program developed by Long Vita – Czapielski Młyn over 15 years ago, inspired by the principles of the Dr. Dąbrowska fruit and vegetable fast.
Based on a very low-calorie intake and a carefully limited range of ingredients, the program supports the body’s natural cleansing processes and metabolic reset. A natural effect of this approach is the gradual reduction of excess body weight, alongside systemic detoxification and regeneration.
The fruit and vegetable fast provides approximately 500 kcal per day.

For Guests with a sensitive digestive system, the cooked variant is generally recommended, as it is gentler on digestion while maintaining the therapeutic benefits of the program.
The length of the fast should be aligned with your individual goals and prior experience:
Each program is individually assessed and adjusted to ensure safety, comfort, and effectiveness throughout your stay.
During the fruit and vegetable fast, the body enters a state of increased metabolic activity and adaptation. As a result, some guests may experience temporary discomfort or a short-term decline in well-being — often referred to as healing responses.
These reactions most commonly occur 2–3 days after starting the fast and are a natural part of the body’s adjustment process. During this time, we recommend:
These measures help gently support the body while maintaining the integrity of the program.
The fruit and vegetable fast is not suitable for everyone. Contraindications include, but are not limited to:
In cases of being underweight, a shortened and carefully supervised fast may be considered instead.
Each guest’s health status is assessed individually to ensure safety and appropriateness before beginning the program.
The transition phase is a crucial part of the fruit and vegetable fast, and it plays a key role in maintaining its long-term benefits.
During this stage, vegetables excluded during the fast — such as olives, avocado, potatoes, and legumes — are gradually reintroduced, with the goal of incorporating them into at least three meals per day. It is important to avoid eating to complete fullness during this period.
Caloric intake should be increased gradually until it reaches your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR). For longer fasts (exceeding three weeks), a multi-stage transition is strongly recommended.
As a general guideline, the transition phase should last approximately half the duration of the fast. For individuals prone to the yo-yo effect, an extended transition — lasting up to twice the length of the fast — is advised to support lasting balance and weight stability.
As part of our program, we also offer a dedicated transition diet, designed to gently guide the body back to full nourishment after a fast or detox program. This phase supports metabolic balance, digestive comfort, and long-term results.
